POLICIES
WELCOME TO PROSPERITY SCHOOL BED & BREAKFAST!
RESERVATIONS
A valid credit card number is required for all confirmed reservations, including the
three digit number on the back of the card. You may make a secure on-line
reservation by using Webervations from any page. If you do not hear back from us
within 24 hours of an on-line reservation request, please call us at (417) 673-0833
as there may be a problem with your return e-mail address. We accept these major
cards: VISA, MASTERCARD, and DISCOVER.
Discounts
Ask about discounts for cash payment, military, AARP. Minimum stays may be
required.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations affect us heavily because we have only 4 rooms. If a cancellation
becomes necessary, and it is made in person or by telephone conversation with us
at least ten (10) days prior to your arrival date, your credit card will be charged for
the full stay, and you will receive a Gift Certificate for the amount charged. These are
valid at Prosperity School Bed and Breakfast for six (6) months. No charges
deferred or refunded, & no Gift Certificates issued for less than ten (10) days notice
or for "No Shows", and no refunds for early departures.
CHECK-IN/OUT: Check-in is from 3-6PM or by prior arrangement;check-out is by
11AM. Contact us for information on late Check-Ins (after 8PM). A request for a room
change for the second or subsequent nights will result in a cleaning charge of $35, +
tax, plus the additional room charge, if higher than the original room.
CHILDREN: Our B&B does not meet the needs of children under 14.
PETS: We regret that we cannot accommodate Guest Pets. Our resident dog,
Tinker, is very friendly, but very jealous of visiting pets! She is, however, available
for "Dog Fixes". Be sure to check out "Tinker's Page", her web page!
SMOKING: We are a Smoke Free facility. Please use the
ashtrays provided on the covered rear deck.

Prosperity School is a "GREEN" property. We have always practiced recycling, and we encourage our guests
to do the same. We follow the "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" Motto seriously. We provide a flip-top container
by the upstairs fridge for rinsed cans and bottles, so please help us protect our environment by depositing
cans & bottles here, not in the waste baskets. Many of the items we do get are not recyclable here, so we take
them with us to Texas when we visit family & recycle them there. We also have a compost bin that we "feed"
with yard trimmings and kitchen scraps. This provides some wonderful dirt for the veggie garden! In addition,
we use laundry detergents that are dye & fragrance-free, and we have re-usable bags for all of our
shopping! Further efforts at protecting the Earth we have undertaken are: we traded in a large van we no
longer need for a fuel efficient car, and combine errand trips to avoid unnecessary driving. By changing out
incandescent bulbs for CF bulbs, we have saved over $1000/year on our electrical usage, line-drying of
laundry helps, we pay our bills on-line (saves stamps & gas!), and we burn large items like wet cardboard to
keep it out of the landfills. Last, but certainly not least, our grounds have many life-sustaining trees that are
producing oxygen as we speak! We hope each of you will do your part for Mother Earth, too.
