center of Joplin, Missouri. Located in the Four States area, Joplin can claim actors Bob Cummings and
Dennis Weaver as Native Sons. Nearby Carterville is home to the Superman Museum. Webb City, Carl
Junction, and Oronogo are also close by. Historic Route 66, originally part of the official US Highway System,

Missouri Southern State University (MSSU), and 8 miles from our B&B is Main Street where Ozark
Christian, Messenger and Vatterott Colleges can be found.
The notorious duo of Bonnie & Clyde lived here for a brief time, in an apartment over a Joplin garage.
The Battle of Carthage Civil War Museum is nearby, well worth a visit for any Civil War enthusiast!
Precious Moments is also in Carthage.
Joplin has several wonderful examples of fine Victorian architecture, located in the Historic Murphysburg
District. Be sure to visit the Wildcat Glades and Audubon Center just south of Joplin.
There is a wealth of diverse shopping in Joplin, including antiquing, The Harley Davidson Cycle Shop and

"At the end of the day, our common goal is the guest experience. Nothing makes us happier than feedback
from satisfied guests. We chose to feature this email, because it sums up the appreciation guests have for
the special touches innkeepers take pride in."
I thought you would like to know how one of the Missouri B&Bs listed on your site is doing...My girlfriend and
I spent the night at Prosperity School Bed and Breakfast on the weekend of April 26th, 2008. All I can
say about our experience is IT WAS IDEAL! The proprietors, Janet and Richard Roberts, were the most
gracious hosts any traveler could ever ask for. Not only was Janet an immense help during our pre-trip
planning, voluntarily providing helpful information on the local tourist sites and quality local restaurants to
visit, but she and Richard were the most friendly and cordial hosts I have EVER experienced in ANY of my
travels...And I've traveled more than most. And not only were the innkeepers accommodating, friendly,
informative, helpful, and understanding, but the property itself was perfect. The accommdations were very
comfortably sized, incredibly clean and well maintained, well appointed with gorgeous period-appropriate
furniture, but at the same time each room featured more modern conveniences than one would expect in a
historic B&B. Not to mention the remarkably well-preserved historic architecture of the building itself, and the
well-groomed lawn and gardens. Between the kind and gracious hosts, and the condition of the rooms and
property, I defy you to find a comparable B&B anywhere. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that
staying at Prosperity School B&B was just perfect! I just wanted to let you know that somebody is doing it
exactly right, and that is Prosperity School Bed and Breakfast. Thank You for your attention, Damon
